Help my students receive books so that we may display many cultures, diverse family representation and allow us to “travel” far outside the walls of our classroom. We would like to add to our reading corner books, shelves and a bungee chair. It will be amazing for my students to have a comfortable place to read and develop their social skills. Most of my special needs students do not have any understanding of racial injustice. The discussions we hold are about treating everybody with kindness and being inclusive about our different abilities. Through books we practice empathy, we celebrate our different cultures and we learn from each other's perspectives and experiences.
