As we all know, reading is fundamental. My students love to read! However, not having a vast amount of reading materials in my classroom tends to hinder their love for reading. Reading helps them build better vocabulary while entertaining their minds. They love being able to use their imaginations and go to places that they may not ever get a chance to visit. Reading is the key to opening doors for all of my students who love to read! Therefore, I have created this reading project to give each of my students the key opportunity to read from different genres. We are starting our own classroom library filled with books that they want would love to read, as well as books from their favorite authors. My students and I are also going to have a book study using the book, Because of Winn Dixie. They have never read this classic and I truly believe that they will enjoy reading and discussing it as a class. My project will help enhance their reading experience.
