These composition notebooks will help my students develop a love for reading and writing. I plan to use these notebooks during our morning meetings to help students develop their writing and creative thinking skills. Writing gives Kindergarten students early and much-needed confidence with literacy. Writing first helps kids get the meaning connection because they are conveying their own thoughts. Often, the first words kids write will use unconventional spelling and even unconventional drawing of some letters. We must nurture their love for writing early to ensure students continue to be successful throughout their careers.
