These resources and books will provide a welcoming and safe atmosphere for students to process their emotions and behavior. With the utilization of these sensory items, students will learn the intricacies of breathing, notice bodily changes, and learn the best ways to regain self-control and appropriately regulate their emotions. This will allow students to enrich their social-emotional learning, thus use these teachings in the future as they navigate the various challenges life, and the school can bring. The book mainly focuses on the many facets of emotions, confidence, and belonging for children from Multicultural backgrounds - representation is important and can really impact how a child feels about their presence and uniqueness. The crayons and paper shapes are for building self-esteem. Children will choose from various cutout images and create a collage that best represents themselves and share it with others in the counseling group. The crayons and colors of the paper both represent diversity. The Crazy Aaron's Crazy Silly Putty gets significantly stronger as children play with it, allowing them to get their stress and anger out appropriately through physical release. The Shapes Geometric Magnetic Set focuses on children, and in the group, settings allow children to learn to share, helping, and positive feedback and encouragement to peers. :D
