Students typically are curious and excited about science topics. My students have science every other day. Having these magazines would benefit my students who could read them during silent reading, use them as resources for information about topics that we are learning about in the classroom, and could gain enrichment from them because of non-studied topics being presented. Kids get better at reading by reading. This project would provide a resource that would put material into the hands of students, not only to provide subject-specific knowledge, but also to encourage a love of reading!
