Having a space where the children can use helps build routine. It affects both the musical educational and the social emotional aspects of what happens in an elementary music classroom. The children will use the rug in a variety of ways. It can be used as a game board, a place to sit, a map, it can be used for boomwhackers and as a place for other instrumental playing as well. Not least is the fact that it will help make our classroom space beautiful. A beautiful space sends the right message to students about how much the adults in their proximity care about their education.

About my class
