Many students are returning to the school building for the first time since March, 2020. Many have expressed anxiety about returning to school. We are required to space desks in rows with students separated by 3 feet. Prior to COVID19 students were seated in collaborative groups of 4 so they could share ideas, work together, while building a sense of community Whiteboard easels will provide areas where small groups of students can collaborate and develop their thinking skills mathematically while also getting to know each other and build a community of learners. Using a variety of techniques to label the groups will make learning more fun.
