The writing in history textbooks can be overwhelming and intimidating for students. The best way to increase student understanding of history is readability of the text. These books will help relate to events of the past in an engaging way that will pique student interest. The ease of reading, fun font, colorful pictures, and clear graphs in these books will help engage students with world history. These books will help provide my students with a foundational understanding that they can build on as we read the textbook. This will build student confidence as they read their textbook already having the big picture of the events and people we study. This project will help enrich their experiences with history.
