As a special education teacher that works with students that have faced a lot of trauma, I believe creating a calming safe inviting classroom environment where my students can express their feeling and emotions in different creative outlets without fear and judgement will not only build their trust but also help me teach them coping strategies and calming techniques to provide them with safe outlets. I have picked out relationship building games and activities as a lot of my students need relationship building and to identify and talk about emotions. I believe art is a great way to self express and with the help of donations I can provide my students s fun interactive classroom where they can be calm, safe, relax and build relationships.
