One way my students will use the Rek-En-Reks is to help them solve multiplication problems. We use them in multiplication to build arrays. These are already made with built in rows and columns, which makes it easier for the students who have a hard time keeping their loose manipulatives organized. After they have made their arrays on their Rek-En-Rek they will then draw a picture of it in their journal or practice building it with a different manipulative in our classroom. The Rek-En-Reks shows them what it is supposed to look like to help them stayed organized. This is just one of the amazing ways Rek-En-Reks help my students be successful in the classroom.
