High School Life Skills Special Ed Students need to learn values of hard work, proper communication, knowledge, and job skills that can help them to be successful in life beyond high school. Last year we received approval to run a coffee/drink shop delivery service for teachers and admins, and this year we are being allowed to continue the project. We will be teaching the students how to stock our items, how to keep up with our inventory, they will be taught how to make various coffee drinks, teas, flavored frozen lemonades, and hot chocolates. They will also be taught how to properly fulfill orders in a timely manner, appropriate customer service, how to safely deliver our items and how to accept money, give change, and turn in the money we receive. We will be using all income to keep our little shop going and any surplus will go towards needed supplies or field trips. Our kids have not been able to have any real world applicable job skills training before. This will teach them fundamental skills that can help them for the rest of their lives.
