Technology has change the opportunities available to students. In my classroom we frequently use an online educational platform called Nearpod. One amazing feature that Nearpod offers is virtual field trips. These field trips allow students to travel to museums, battle fields, and historically significant locations from their desk. Although the sights can be viewed from a Chromebook screen, the magic is lost if you do not have the immersive experience provided through a VR headset. My scholars deserve such an experience and may never have another opportunity to see such amazing sights.
