Sitting still in a plastic chair is difficult for a lot of people, especially young children. I promote flexible seating in my classroom, by often giving students a choice about where they will sit to complete their work. I want students to discover what learning styles work for them and to advocate for their needs. These wobble stools will give students another option for alternative seating and help them get more out of our limited small group time. During small group time, it is important for students to stay on task, and these chairs will support that.
