The use of the individual paddle dry-erase boards will engage each student with their voice, thoughts, and feelings, without actually saying them aloud for others to hear. I hope the boards will help students participate and share more about themselves. Additionally, the artifacts will not only spark our Social Studies goal for students to "Think like a historian", but it may create an interest in wanting to learn more about the ancient civilizations, which go beyond pyramids in Egypt. I believe the items requested, will be the bait and hook, to help my students focus and crave more in my class. By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus; you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement by bringing the past to life.
