In third grade, one of our state standards is a force in motion. These science activities will be used in the classroom to enhance our science curriculum and encourage the students to want to learn more. The hands-on aspect of each of these allows students to explore science through applying their skills instead of just reading about what happens. We will use the gravity pole kit to learn about magnetic objects and how without the magnetic pole we couldn't survive on earth. The magnetic maze will help teach students about the laws of physics and how gravity plays a role in keeping our earth perfectly aligned in the universe. We will explore these as a whole class and within small groups. We hope to enjoy these hands-on activities soon with your help!
