My name is Alexandria Walston and I am requesting your help in revamping/growing my classroom library! Historically, I have taught primary (1st and 2nd grade) but this year I have the opportunity to teach 5th graders and am in need of books they will love! I have chosen engaging texts that are full of representation and alternative cultural perspectives. In these times, its important that our children have exposure to ways of thinking and values that may not be their own in order to encourage critical thinking and acceptance of everyone around them.
