My students enjoy writing stories, responding to text and love art. Our class reading and writing projects sometime require parents to assist in the preparation. For, example when students, read the story, Ugly Vegetable, the student write a summary of the story, create a recipe using their favorite fruit or vegetable and an illustrate of the life cycle of a plant. Many of our parents do not have access to the public library or a printer, I often print the materials needed for them. The materials will allow for both students and I to create journal page and ability to print out our work without restraint from administration or those who give permission on what is copy / print worthy.
