The Warmies will provide emotional support to the students at Carl Hayden while they are in class and learning. By providing a source of calming comfort to those who experience stress, anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation while they are in the classroom, they will be able to concentrate on the lessons being presented. Attending school has changed in the past year and a half, and students have expressed more bouts of anxiety and depression, given their experiences during the pandemic. While students are in the classroom, the Warmies will provide a sense of calm, due to the scent of lavender in the Warmies, and the soothing sense of soft material as the student holds the Warmie will allow students to reduce the distractions of anxiety and stress, enabling them to fully concentrate on the lessons taught in the classroom, boosting their confidence and success.
