Our students are required to earn a paycheck bill weekly, just like a productive citizen in their community. I use the snacks as an incentive and also as a financial piece of their paycheck. I incorporate the snacks as a choice when spending the money they earn from their paychecks. Every 2 weeks they get paid and from that paycheck, they have a choice. They can purchase their daily snacks for their breaks while at the job site. They also get to use the balance of their funds to purchase anything from our on the job sites. From those funds they are also responsible to pay rent, phone, cable, water or unexpected bill.
