These materials will be used to create calming centers in each classroom at our school. Students will be able to "take a break" and practice self-regulation to calm themselves when they are triggered. The entire school community will benefit from this project, as it will help our students show up as their best selves. The emotions flipbooks provide a way for students to identify their emotions as well pick coping strategies to support them in managing their emotion. The sensory tools included will support the students in grounding themselves. Calming centers will be a safe place for our students in each classroom.
