While we utilize class time for reading and analyzing texts, my students are also required to complete outside reading to prepare them for the expectations of higher education. The books I am requesting will allow my students to take learning on the go! With a set of class books, my students will be able to take their books home and complete their outside reading assignments without worrying about being able to afford or access the text. The text, The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien, will also help my students expand their study of American literature beyond the traditional "classics."
