These materials will contribute to my students academic growth. The use of manipulatives and anchor charts can help students connect ideas and integrate their knowledge so that they gain a deep understanding of educational concepts. These materials will assist with providing intervention for my students and the academic gaps that exist within my classroom. Due to our school being co-located with another elementary school there are many barriers that impede our access to equitable educational opportunities. The mobile white board, speakers, and microphone will assist my co-teacher and I to deliver our lessons to our 60 students. We are currently located in the library which is not a suitable classroom. Our motto is, “find a way or make one”. The requested materials will help us to create a way for our students to receive top tier education in an undesirable situation. The flexible seating and center classroom supplies will allow my students to engage in small group learning. This is a difficult task being responsible for 60 students in a two teacher classroom. However, we are up for the task. As an educator I have spent countless amounts of money to ensure my students can compete with students world wide despite their socioeconomic backgrounds. Funding the supplies listed will allow my students to have access to differentiated learning opportunities.
