After a year of remote learning, my students need to get back into the classroom with the motivation to learn and grow. Your donation will help to engage my students in literacy, math, and fine motor centers. They will work on important skills such as turn-taking, peer interaction, and sharing. The math materials will help them to develop their number identification and counting skills. The various literacy materials will help them learn to practice letter sounds, to form letters, and to develop language by comparing and contrasting, sequencing, and categorizing. The fine motor activities will help to develop their hand strength and coordination, which they will need to build in order to do pre-writing tasks and to complete activities of daily living (buttoning, zippering, etc.) These activities will also provide the opportunity for my students to practice the skills they need to achieve their individual academic and social goals. Last year, I sent home many materials to engage my students while at home and to start this school year, we could really use your help to refresh our supply for fun, hands-on, interactive centers. Help my students engage in purposeful play and have fun in school again!
