As part of our daily literacy block, we use a program that requires the students to read independently for a certain amount of time. The students find reading nooks around the class where they can read comfortably for this part of the lesson. Having a new, beautiful rug in the classroom will enable my students to spread out and work independently. It will add beautiful color to the room along with much-needed comfort. I know the students would just love to unwind and work productively in a relaxed environment.
