The materials in this list will be used for engaging, high-quality lessons. The goal of my classroom is for every student to see themselves in the curriculum and feel successful in their ability to learn. To do so, they must be given the tools necessary to reach those goals. I am a new teacher with limited funds dedicated to giving my first graders the positive school experience they deserve-especially coming out of Covid Kindergarten. You can help me realize this dream by contributing to my classroom wishlist. All of these tools will go to helping my students grow, learn, and have fun in first grade. Some items that will help my class include: a help-yourself book bin to highlight texts that align with current units, Post-It easel pads for the creation of anchor charts, magna tiles for free time and indoor recess fun, and books for my classroom library that are diverse in their reading level and their subject matter.
