I am hoping to enhance my teaching of Science & Social Studies to my 3rd graders with the help of the amazing Scholastic News Magazines. As the teacher, it is my job to help my students understand current events on their level and I feel that the Scholastic News & Science Spin magazines will make this happen. I feel that it's important that they learn more about the world around them in a fun way! With the use of these non-fiction magazines, it allows them to connect with people & topics that are of interest and they can comprehend what they are reading. This year I look forward to getting the Scholastic News and Science Spin Magazines in their hands, so that we can discuss current topics in class and that it'll lead to some great conversations in which my students are able to develop opinions on the matters.
