Kindergarteners need as much support as possible while starting the school adventure. Several of my students have never been to school prior to kindergarten. Therefore, when they enter my room they crave and need play. The math games/manipulates I have chosen will promote not only learning but will help develop social skills and so much more. I have taught kindergarten for 8 years and I have found students learn best through play. I teach math to 3 different groups of students and I want all of them entering my classroom excited about math and all the games we will enjoy. Over the course of the school year students will learn to count, compare, add, subtract, & compose/decompose numbers as well as identify shapes, money, different tools of measurement & data. We cover a lot of ground and we set the foundation for our students to succeed. Please consider being a part of helping my students reach their best potential.
