Three years ago our school adopted a new science textbook for the freshman course, Introduction to Physical Science. The best part about this particular text is that it's published by CPO Science which is also the supplier of the lab kits we've been building over the years. The text is aligned exactly with our science labs. The final piece to having fully completed lab sets are the timer photogates. They are made to fit with the rest of the physics lab materials, but we have not been able to afford them. Instead we use stop watches, but stopwatches do not provide the same data accuracy and feedback as these devices. These timer photogates will be used by over 500 freshman each year as these lab sets are shared by the entire Introduction to Physical science teaching team.
