Many students have not been inside a classroom for over 18 months. Unfortunately, being remote has caused their reading stamina to decrease. I believe providing them a separate space to read for enjoyment and talk about literature would be beneficial academically and emotionally. The reading corner will include books and resources that reflect all learners. The goal is to make reading an enjoyable experience. The space will be used for book club meetings and a literacy station rotation. The ultimate goal is student lead literacy discussions! Let's make reading fun again!
