A Cricut is a great way to bring new technology into our 7th grade classroom. Individual sets of student manipulatives could be cut out and laminated, eliminating the sharing of resources in the classroom and germs. Students could take these cut manipulatives home in case we switch to a remote or hybrid learning model, allowing them a hands-on learning experience that was missing for so many of them last year. Word walls and anchor charts will be clear and easy to read, even while maintaining a safe distance and limiting student movement around the classroom.
