My students love to learn and love to play, so we combine the best of both worlds as often as possible by having hands-on, play-based learning experiences. With these materials, we would be able to play games to practice our academic and social skills. All of my students benefit greatly from game and play based learning in the classroom, seen through their increased motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm. Student engagement increases when playing educational games while giving us a chance to practice important social skills such as turn-taking, teamwork, and how to win or lose appropriately. These materials will be used throughout the year to acquire, practice, maintain, and review skills. Through play, my students will continue to develop a love of learning.
