The classroom that I have been assigned to this year faces many challenges, the biggest of which include access air conditioning and electrical outlets. There is no air conditioning in my classroom, and I am not able to access one through the school at this time. With the temperatures being as hot as they are, I want my students to feel comfortable and ready to learn without having to deal with the consequences of being in a hot classroom, especially while also having to wear masks. Our school is also under construction at this time, and a wire that controls the electrical outlets in my room has been compromised, leaving me with only one working outlet in a large classroom. I need to be able to plug in floor fans throughout the room due to having no air conditioning, as well as have outlets for students to be able to charge their laptops, and be able to use the different materials and equipment that are standard to use in a hands-on science classroom. The items I need will help my students be able to be in a learning environment that is conducive to learning, as well as allow them to have basic access to the tools they need to succeed in my classroom.
