Some students have difficulty seeing some of the geometric objects, but when they build things it helps them recognized the variety of shapes they see. The LEGO bricks will be used in school. In the classroom I have other math manipulative but students are not able to necessarily build objects. Last school year students were sedentary in front of a computer. This year the goal is to tap into the creative thinking and make math relevant to them. My focus in to more project based learning to increase understanding and rely less on memorization.
