Students will engage in art projects to help them dive into the abstract concepts of Civics, and to express their own ideas as they become powerful civic actors. Many of my students are English Language Learner's and visual and hands-on learning experiences really help to bring new concepts and vocabulary terms to life. Students will be creating "civics self portraits" that incorporate course content and their allow them to express and celebrate their identities and values. Please consider helping to nurture my student's creativity and personal expression in the civic arena!
