These materials make all the difference because it helps set a tone and creates a school environment full of love. All of these items help with regulation, helps create a sense of comfortability and gives the impression that this is a safe space. When we create a safe space students learn that it is okay to open up and eventually are able to learn. Some of these items help teach emotional identification and how to regulate our emotions when we are feeling escalated. To be trauma informed the most important piece is feeling safe!
