After a difficult year of remote learning, I am hoping to welcome the students back into the classroom by introducing flexible seating options. Research shows that a positive, inviting learning environment has a direct impact on student achievement. Flexible seating allows students to feel empowered to have some control over their environment. It encourages collaboration between students in the classroom and allows them to move freely throughout the day. Flexible seating allows for sensory input which helps students focus and process information. Lastly, flexible seating makes learning FUN! Most of my students have to overcome many hardships at a very young age. My hope is that our classroom can be their safe place and they always feel safe and at home when they are in school.
