My students are in the stages of learning to read. A part of learning to read is being engaged in what you're reading. They will not only be interested but have pride in seeing themselves in theses stories. These materials will be used in a whole group reading corner. we will read together , discuss main ideas, characters, settings and their points of views. All of these actions will grow new readers' minds. For instance, through reading everyday my students have started to have group discussions, sound words out and succeed. They have grown as readers and have a sense of pride when they have read a whole book.
