These calculators will aid my students learning in the classroom because it will assure enough are available to my large classes. While we have some calculators currently, I have been struggling to acquire enough for each student and therefore, the possibility exists that I may not have enough for all students on some days. Having these extra ten calculators will assure that each student in my class will have an equitable experience during instruction each day. Students will use the calculator to graph linear, quadratic, and exponential equations. They will also use them to create linear and non-linear regressions, and predict future outcomes based on data. Last of all, this will aid them with interpreting the attributes of graphs including, x-intercept (zeros), y-intercepts, domain, range, linear and non-linear function transformations, and basic calculations. Providing these calculators will also grant me the ability to loan them to students who may need one at home to make up an assignment. I currently do not have any calculators that are approved for home use by students, but this would allow me to have a few loaners for those (which are the majority of my students) who are unable to purchase one because of the high cost.
