Flexible seating offers a choice for students and gives them the opportunity to take charge of their learning and be as successful as can be. During independent work time, I give students the option to sit somewhere other than their assigned desk. Currently, students have only a few options besides their desk chair to sit at. They can sit or lay on the floor with a clipboard, or sit at a table. Having more choices in where or how they sit will motivate students during work time and allow them to be more comfortable. Students are more comfortable and confident doing their work when they get to choose where they sit. These wobble stools will be an additional seating choice for students during work time. They provide for a little bit of movement and will be able to be used in every area of our room. I have seen the benefits of wobble stools and choice seating and I hope that these options will help my students grow even more.
