The supplies in my cart will help provide an enriching outdoor play environment. The children in our Head Start program deserve the best experiences that we can provide them. Planting materials will be used during our year to give children a communicative hands-on learning experience with the life cycle. This will also bring insects which will allow scientific exploration and sensory experiences. The kitchen will be used to provide children with outdoor learning that encompasses measurement, prediction, sensory experiences, and cooperative play. The large building materials will give them the opportunity to engage in the foundations of architecture, predication, and measurement, or anywhere their interests lead us. The literacy and math kits extend Head Starts' vision of providing a rich literacy and numeracy environment into the outdoors. Children learn best during movement, so why not make their learning materials move with them?
