My students will be introduced to a whole new world of literacy genius in these works by black writers. These writers and their works explore black life in a way that is relevant to my students' lives and will be interesting and relative. I will be introducing the authors and their works as culturally relevant materials that are written with black kids in mind and focus on the urban experience today. These materials will encourage lifelong reading and writers. Funding this project help will inspire my students by providing fresh topics and current issues they face daily .
