My school has a wonderful media center, but I would love to provide my students with a more multicultural & diverse classroom library. It's so important for students to see themselves reflected in art and literature. These books will do just that. The seeds for lifelong readers are planted in them, they just need a couple of little pushes in the right direction to get going. Also, as a teacher resident, I don't know where the next years will take me. My dream is to have a well developed classroom library. Unfortunately, getting there takes more funds than I have at my disposal right now.
