The Legos will help students with STEM thinking. The reading activities will help them practice and retain reading skills. These items are needed when students have to work by themselves due to the pandemic. The items will give the students a chance to enjoy school, thinking outside of the box, and honing their skills. I hope my first graders will become encouraged by the new opportunities of learning. I believe they will play, think, and transfer their thought process to all subjects in first grade. It will open their minds!
