Since my students are at a younger age, a lot of the materials in my room cater to sensory processing, gross and fine motor development needed to be successful in learning the ways of school. Young students practice more hands-on education than older grades do. With materials that they are able to manipulate they are able to achieve this. Having tools for students to fidget with or to play and manipulate, helps develop the fine motor skills they need when getting to older grades to write and draw.
