Science helps children develop key life skills, including an ability to communicate, remain organized and focus, and even form their own opinions based on observation. Science also helps children develop their senses and overall awareness. All of this is incredibly important to my students with autism. It is another pathway for them to develop, learn and bring to life a curiosity deep inside them about the world around them. These science experiments will enhance the students' knowledge by bringing a hands on tactile approach which is one of their strengths in learning. Visual and hands on learning is crucial in our classroom to the success they find.
