Getting PE equipment for my classroom will have many benefits for my students. For over a year and half, the students in my classroom have been learning from home. They have been sitting on their bed or at their kitchen table staring at an electronic device. Most of the families of my students cannot afford to enroll their child in after school sports. This is one reason I am so excited to get basic PE equipment into the hands of all my students. One could say that hula hooping and jump roping is a lost art! Also, with so many devices at reach, few students know how to properly throw or catch a ball! I cannot wait to teach my students these basic skills that will help them feel good about themselves. My students will feel proud as they learn to spin a hula hoop around their waist and learn the importance of team work while working with their peers to aim, throw, and catch a ball!
