We use Chromebooks each day for multiple subjects, including reading and writing, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. My students who are learning English as a second language benefit even more from having the aditional audio available while reading dense, complex text on unfamiliar topics. Utilizing these computers, we are also able to learn using multiple sensory inputs, improving retention of information, and allowing for better differentiation of materials and assignments. My students need these headphones to be successful in this new age where digital learning is fused into all aspects of life. If they are unable to provide their own pair, or if the pair they provided break, having these headphones will be a great support for these kids academically. This project will help create independent thinkers and life-long learners with access to learning at their own pace, with the supports that they need to be successful.
