Students read every single day in my classroom, and as our school does not have a library, it is up to me to provide the materials for that reading time. Some students love historical fiction, others prefer graphic novels, and many lean towards fantasy, which is why have a full and inclusive classroom library is so important. Books are windows to the world, and helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is a perfect way to build more engaged citizens. These books are highly rated, and I think they will add a great touch to our growing literacy-rich classroom. From sports to representing different types of people in this world, these books provide a wide range of interests and points of view that will help engage readers of different levels.
