The beginning of the year is tricky for everyone, and I try to make this smoother for all kids, and eliminate barriers to getting basic school supplies. I provide the basics so that if it is forgotten or if the student has a need they can just grab what they need. Due to COVID supplies are hard for many families. I seek to supply my classroom with everything a student would need to be successful throughout their school day. If they are in Latin they can use the index cards for vocabulary words. If they are in AVID, maybe they need to learn biology terminology. I seek to provide access to learning for all kids.
