At Frank Hartsfield Elementary, we have a plethora of online applications and digital resources to help identify and improve reading and language challenges. However, being that nearly all 5th grade students live in low-income households, many are not able to provide the headphones for themselves, that would allow them to take full advantage of these resources. Oftentimes students have to use these programs while playing the dictation and verbal directions on very low volume; trying to balance their own hearing with staying quiet for those working around them. Having a class set of headphones would ensure that every student is able to focus completely on the digital program they're using.

About my class
